    We are located on 20 acres of labrador habitat in Epsom New Hampshire about 10 miles east of the
    state capital and centrally located about one hour from Vermont, Massachusetts and the Maine
    border.  We have been raising labradors since we brought home Beretta Girl, our first chocolate lab
    in 1992.  Though no longer with us and dearly missed,  Beretta Girl is still behind many of the dogs
    we produce today as we are very glad to have continued building on her lines that have proven
    intelligence, a strong desire to please, good looks and great health and temperament.  Our dogs are a
    very important part of our lives as well as an integrated part of the family.  Hunting is only a small
    part of what we do and all of our dogs are foremost great companions and easy to live with.  Many
    activities include time spent with the dogs from exhibiting at local dog shows, hunting and training
    for upland game birds and waterfowl, enjoying a walk in the woods where we may happen on a deer
    shed or dabbling in the fun sport of agility.  Kate is an active member of Merrimack Valley Kennel
    Club and a member of Ducks Unlimited and NRA.

    Our kennel name Davikas is a combination of David and Kate and without both our commitment and
    unique skills and love for animals and attention to their comfort and needs we could never even
    have gone this far.  Davikas has a few carefully planned litters every year.  We believe it important to
    spend time socializing and interacting with each puppy to get them off to the best start possible.   
    They are raised in the house,  handled by all ages of humans that live here and given lots of
    exposures to help them adjust well to the outside world and their new family pack. We also keep in
    contact with many families over the years and love to offer guidance and support to anyone who
    chooses to keep in contact with us.  Being a breeder and providing many people and families with
    their best companion has been a tremendous source of pride and what I consider our family's life
    work and passion.  Our breeding goals are to raise healthy, intelligent, keen and biddable labs with a
    strong desire to please.  The puppies we produce possess the abilities to function as retrieving gun
    dogs but are equally adaptable to a family's daily routine.  We strive to preserve the integrity of the
    breed that makes labs just such a wonderful and popular dog.
